A life of faith

Agapius came from Gaza and joined a group of imprisoned Christians at Caesarea. The calendar remembers their refusal to abandon their faith under Governor Urban. Agapius was executed with the group after continued imprisonment and persecution.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Agapius is remembered with companions in hardship. Consider how your presence can encourage someone who feels isolated.
