A life of faith

Agathodorus came from the Hellespont to Cherson with the bishops Eugene and Elpidius. They had heard of the death of Basileus and went to continue the Christian preaching in the city. The three bishops were seized, tortured and put to death. Agathodorus belongs to the group of bishops commemorated for their service in Cherson.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.
