A life of faith

Aglaia was a Roman noblewoman who helped people in need and honored the Christian martyrs. She sent Boniface east with money to obtain their relics. After he himself was killed, she received his body in Rome, arranged his burial and built a church. The account remembers her subsequent life of Christian devotion.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Aglaia invites reflection on making resources serve a lasting good. Consider one generous commitment you can sustain beyond an initial moment of enthusiasm.
