A life of faith

Agrippina was born and raised in Rome. She suffered martyrdom during the reign of Valerian. Three Christian women, Bassa, Paula and Agathonica, carried her body to Sicily for burial. Her tomb became a place of Christian veneration.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Her commemoration also remembers the women who gave her a dignified burial.
