A life of faith

Archippus is remembered among the Seventy Apostles and as a disciple of Paul. The Romanian calendar joins his confession of Christ at Colossae with Philemon, Onesimus and Apphia. The group was arrested, brought before Androcles and killed.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Archippus’s remembrance invites reflection on the companionship through which Christian teaching was received and shared.
