A life of faith

Aristarchus is remembered with Pudens and Trophimus. The calendar connects him with Acts and identifies him as bishop of Apamea in Syria. The three are commemorated together as martyrs under Nero.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Aristarchus’s remembrance offers a starting point for reading about Paul’s companions in Acts.
