A life of faith

Auxentius was a priest commemorated with Eustratius, Eugene, Mardarius and Orestes. His received life describes his interrogation before Lysias, who tried to compel him to return to pagan worship. Auxentius firmly refused and was beheaded.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.
