A life of faith

Branwalader is remembered as an early bishop associated with Jersey, Cornwall and Brittany. Tradition connects him with Samson of Dol and with preaching in the Channel Islands. His memory survives in the names of St. Brelade on Jersey and St. Breward in Cornwall. Accounts of his life are sparse, while records of his veneration and the movement of his relics preserve a lasting connection with these communities.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

A faithful life can leave a quiet trace in a community. Branwalader invites attention to the people and places entrusted to our care.
