A life of faith

Chrysanthus studied in Rome and became interested in Christian teaching through Scripture. He received baptism and continued to confess Christ despite opposition from his father. Daria also embraced Christianity, and the account remembers their support for separate religious communities. Both later suffered martyrdom.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Chrysanthus followed his questions into study and instruction. Consider which question about faith you could bring to Scripture and a trusted teacher.
