A life of faith

Clement grew up in Ancyra with a Christian mother named Sophia. He became a priest and bishop and preached during persecution. Imprisoned in Rome, he baptized people who sought Christian faith, including Agathangelus. The two endured imprisonment together. After returning to Ancyra, Clement was killed while celebrating the Liturgy.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Clement invites reflection on continuing to care for others when your own circumstances are restricted.
