A life of faith

Constantius Palamas was the father of Gregory Palamas. He served as a senator and entered monastic life before his death. The calendar remembers the family together and describes the place of prayer and monastic commitment in their shared history.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.
