Saint Cyricus of Tarsus
Child martyr
Lycaonia and Tarsus
Feast day: July 15

A life of faith
Cyricus was the three-year-old son of Julitta. He accompanied his mother as she fled persecution to Tarsus. Both were killed after her arrest, and local Christians buried their bodies with honor.
The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.
A reflection
Cyricus is remembered as a child whose life was taken during persecution.
