A life of faith

Dionisie followed his older brother into monastic life and settled on Mount Athos. The brothers worked to repay the cost of their first cell and later helped rebuild the Saint George cell at Colciu. Dionisie became a priest and spiritual father. Over many decades, monks and pilgrims from different countries came to him for counsel. His ministry grew from sustained work and the guidance he had received from other elders.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Dionisie’s example invites patient learning from experienced people and a willingness to share what you have learned with others.
