A life of faith

Epicharis Palamas was the sister of Gregory Palamas. She entered monastic life with her mother Kalloni and sister Theodote. The calendar remembers the family together and describes the place of prayer and monastic commitment in their shared history.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.
