A life of faith

Eugene confessed Christ after witnessing the suffering and extraordinary recovery of Eustratius. He was taken with Eustratius toward Nicopolis in Armenia. When brought to judgment, Eugene remained steadfast in his faith. He died under torture and is commemorated with Eustratius, Auxentius, Mardarius and Orestes.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.
