A life of faith

Eulampius left a mountain refuge to obtain food during persecution. In Nicomedia he challenged the order against Christians and was arrested. He refused to abandon his faith before the judge Maximus. His sister Eulampia joined him in confession, and the calendar remembers their martyrdom.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Eulampius invites reflection on speaking openly about faith when silence would be easier.
