A life of faith

Faustus was the son of Dalmat. Father and son became monks in the monastery of Isaac near Constantinople, where the calendar remembers their life of fasting and prayer. Faustus continued in monastic life while his father became the community’s abbot.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.
