A life of faith

Gayane was a Christian nun who traveled to Armenia with Hripsime. She suffered martyrdom during the persecution associated with Tiridates. The Church remembers the two women with other Christians who were killed there.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Gayane is remembered within a community that endured displacement and persecution together.
