Saint Gregentius of Arabia

A life of faith

Gregentius is remembered as a bishop who worked to establish the Christian Church in Arabia. The calendar recalls his support for a Christian ruler and a public discussion with the scholar Ervan. The account remembers Ervan receiving baptism after their exchange.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.
