Saint Helladius the Hieromartyr

A life of faith

Helladius was a bishop who was arrested and brought before persecuting authorities. His received life describes his public confession of the Christian faith during torture and a healing of his wounds. Further suffering followed, and he died.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Remember people facing persecution and seek a safe way to offer support.
