A life of faith

Hypatius was sent with other soldiers to arrest Leontius at Tripoli. After receiving Leontius’s hospitality and hearing his teaching, Hypatius accepted Christianity and was baptized. He then confessed Christ before the official Adrian and suffered martyrdom with Leontius and Theodulus.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

His story invites reflection on being willing to reconsider a task after encountering the person affected by it.
