A life of faith

Innocent was among the Christians taught by the deacon Isaurus near Apollonia. With Felix, Peregrinus and Hermias, he was accused by relatives and arrested. The group refused to renounce Christ and suffered martyrdom.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Innocent is remembered within a community whose members faced persecution together.
