A life of faith

Isaurus was a deacon from Athens who went to a cave near Apollonia. There he instructed Innocent, Felix, Peregrinus and Hermias in the Christian life. The group was arrested after accusations from relatives. They refused to renounce Christ and were eventually beheaded.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Isaurus recalls the responsibility that comes with helping others begin a life of faith.
