A life of faith

Jason was a disciple of Paul from Tarsus and later became bishop there. With Sosipater, a fellow disciple from Achaia, he built a church on Corfu dedicated to Stephen the Martyr. The governor Querculin imprisoned the two men with seven prisoners who became Christian. Jason and Sosipater suffered torture. Their received life also connects their witness with the conversion of Cherchyra, the governor’s daughter.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

A shared task can depend on people with different backgrounds. Consider how to support a partner without overlooking their contribution.
