A life of faith

Parmenas was among the first deacons of the Church. He fulfilled the ministry entrusted to him by the apostles and preached Christianity. He suffered martyrdom and was buried by the apostles.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Parmenas recalls carrying out a responsibility faithfully within a community.
