A life of faith

Pistus was a son of Bassa and Valerius and a brother of Theognius and Agapius. Their Christian mother raised them in her faith. The received life includes Pistus among the three sons imprisoned with Bassa, tortured before her and eventually beheaded.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

A family member’s needs can be overlooked when everyone is under strain. Ask what support would be useful.
