A life of faith

Publius came from Egypt. He was among the young Christians who publicly confessed their faith before the governor Urban at Caesarea in Palestine during Diocletian’s persecution. The group was imprisoned and repeatedly urged to abandon Christianity. Publius is remembered among those who were eventually beheaded.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.
