A life of faith

Sacerdon is commemorated among the Forty Martyrs of Sebaste. The received account places the group during the reign of Licinius and remembers their confession of Christ, imprisonment and suffering in a freezing lake. The Church commemorates the forty together on March 9.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Remember those who face hardship together, and offer practical support to someone in need.
