A life of faith

Theodore the bishop is remembered among four Christians who left Nicaea during persecution under Julian and traveled through Thessaloniki to Tiberiopolis, now Strumica. The received account also identifies him with a participant in the First Council of Nicaea. He is distinct from Theodore the priest in the same martyr group. The fifteen martyrs are commemorated on November 28.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.
