A life of faith

Theodota was one of Athanasia’s three daughters, with Theoctiste and Eudoxia. The family was arrested near Alexandria and received encouragement from Cyrus and John. Theodota is remembered as thirteen years old when she suffered martyrdom with her mother and sisters at Canopus during the persecution under Diocletian.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.
