A life of faith

Thomas is remembered as the abbot among the monastic martyrs of Zograf Monastery on Mount Athos. The received account describes him speaking on behalf of the community before the tower was set on fire. The account gives 1276 and 1280 as alternative years. The group is commemorated on October 10.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.
