A life of faith

Timolaus was from Pontus. At Caesarea in Palestine he joined other young Christians in publicly confessing their faith before the governor Urban. They were imprisoned during Diocletian’s persecution and faced repeated demands to abandon Christianity. Timolaus is commemorated among the martyrs who were beheaded.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.
