A life of faith

Timon was among the first deacons of the Church. He later served as bishop of Bostra in Arabia and suffered martyrdom by crucifixion.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

His remembrance connects the early ministry of the deacons with Christian communities in Arabia.
