A life of faith

Titus entered a communal monastery while young and later became a priest. The calendar remembers his obedience and humility within the community during the ninth-century disputes over icons. It also remembers him as a wonderworker.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Titus’s remembrance invites attention to faithful participation in the ordinary life of a community.
