A life of faith

Zenobius and his sister Zenobia inherited property when their parents died. With his sister’s agreement, he distributed both shares to poor people. He cared for people who were ill or distressed and later became bishop of Aegae. During persecution, he refused to abandon Christian faith. His sister joined him in public confession, and the two were tortured and executed together.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.

A reflection

Zenobius’s example invites generosity that continues through personal care rather than ending with a single gift.
