A life of faith

Zoe was the wife of Nicostratus, who guarded prisoners. Her received life recounts the restoration of her speech through Sebastian and her baptism with others gathered in their household. During persecution she was arrested while praying at the tomb of the Apostle Peter. After five days in prison, Zoe suffered martyrdom.

The Eastern Orthodox Church remembers saints in prayer and commemoration. Their lives offer examples for Christians learning to live their faith.
